Violet A. Forrest 85 of Glasgow died Friday, February 07, 2014 at the NHC Health Care in Glasgow. She was the daughter of the late Bert and Viola Richey Copas and wife of the late Lyron Forrest. Mrs. Forrest was a seamstress at Handmacher for 40 years and was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her great grandson. Survivors include her granddaughter Kim Landrum and husband Bobby of Glasgow; a great grandson Chase Landrum of Glasgow; a sister Willodean DeYoung of Franklin, KY; 2 brothers Franklin Copas and Danny Copas both of Bowling Green and 2 brothers-in-law Wendell (Patsy) Forrest of Louisville and Carl (Rebecca) Forrest of Glasgow. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda Owen; a son Steve Forrest; 5 sisters Iva Haynes, Virginia Lowe, Annis Cole, Doris Copas and Hilda Glass and 2 brothers Bert Dartin Copas and Clinton Copas. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, Feb. 9th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4pm Saturday.
