Wallice Anne Spencer Houchens, 77, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home Monday, November 14, 2022, after a brief illness. Wallice was born on August 8, 1945, in Allen County. She has been a long-time member of the Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church since November of 1956. Wallice worked as a Supervisor for Kentucky Pants and Kentucky Apparel for 31 years. She then attended Draughons Junior College where she received a degree in Computer Technology. She then continued to work for Glasgow Career Centers for another 15 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Houchens; mother, Alma Mae Spencer Gunnels; brother, Steven Gary Gunnels; grandparents, Arthur and Zula Spencer; and daughter in-law, Lacy Houchens. She is survived by her children, Shevonika Goodman Huff (Bruce) of Glasgow, Kentucky, Richard "Ricky" Houchens (Tammy) of Horse Cave Kentucky, Michael Houchens of Glasgow, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Chasity Martin Albertson, Nikita Jo Houchens, Courtney Houchens, Mackenzie Houchens, Austin Goodman, Matthew Houchens, Peyton Houchens (Brea), Eli Smith; six great grandchildren, Masyn Martin, Conyer Martin, Landyn Albertson, Anslee Albertson, Raven Matthews, Benjamin Houchens; sister, Sue Gunnels Stotts; brothers, Tommy Gunnels (Brenda), Tony Gunnels; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two sons-in-law, Justin Albertson and Steven Martin. Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 19th at the A. F. Crow and Sons Funeral home in Glasgow, Kentucky with burial in the Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Allen County. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that a memorial contribution be made to Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church or to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
