Wanda Lawrence Sheppard passed away February 16, 2022. She was born in Nashville, TN, on October 21, 1954 to the late Herschel Patton and the late Willie Merle O'Neill Lawrence. She is survived by her children Alisha (Ron) Reeves and Joshua (Aimie) Markham; her grandchildren Sam Richardson, Drew Richardson, Megan Reeves Graham (Scott), AnnaCaite Markham, Maggie Markham, Miles Markham and Miller Markham; her brothers Billy (Dawnelle) Lawrence and Phillip Lawrence, her sister Patsy Lawrence; her niece, Sarah Lawrence (Jeff Willner); as well as numerous friends and acquaintances all around the world. In her time on earth she worked in international business, earned her pilot license, helped others manage their businesses, traveled and followed her passion of playing music. As a talented guitarist, song writer, pianist and vocalist, she often could be seen performing with friends or volunteering at a local memory care facility. She loved nothing more than seeing her children, their families, her siblings and her friends happy while involved in the things they loved. She was always supportive in word and deed. Throughout her life Wanda studied the scriptures and pursued Jesus. She enjoyed trips to Israel to walk where Jesus walked. She prayed feverishly for her family and friends. Her final days were filled with scripture and hymns as she prepared to enter the Kingdom. The family would like to thank the staffs of TJ Samson Oncology, Amedisys Home Health, the staff at Norton Hospital of Louisville, TJ Samson Hospice, and the staff at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home for the amazing care provided. The family will have a private gathering at her home in Glasgow, KY. A gathering for friends and family will take place in Franklin,TN at a later date. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Those who wish to honor Wanda are simply asked to do something that she would do. Take an extra minute out of your day to lift someone up. Buy someone a meal. Spend some time at a care facility cheering up those who suffer. Sing a song. Plant some flowers. Pray for one another. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity or to the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, 131 North Race St, Glasgow, KY. or FONAC (Fellowship of Native American Christians) PO Box 492, Sapulpa, OK 74067 A.F.
